Sugarbush Creek Farm

In late winter, as the promise of a thaw approaches, Dr. Cermak gets busy preparing for sugar season.

The maple forest at Sugarbush Creek farm has a tubing system for collecting sap.

The vacumn assisted tubing system will collect sap from about 2200 sugar maple trees.

 

This farm was the first in the state of Ohio to have a tubing system installed by a team from the Quebec maple industry.
